Cooking for Kids

My general ethos on Cooking for Kids is to get them eating ‘grown up’ foods and variety from a very young age. My own children are just over two and approaching four and now pretty much eat the same food that we do and you’ll find most of my recipes are Family Dinners that are enjoyed by us all.

There are however times when eating separately is more practical and the kids have their own favourites. I’ve developed a collection of recipes that are particularly suitable for Toddlers and Young Children, though that’s not to say they don’t have grown up appeal too! The favourites amongst readers and my monsters are:

Chicken, Egg & Veggie Fried Rice (Jacques’ favourite!)

Kid’s Bolognese (Francesca’s favourite!)

Kid’s Fish Pie

Fish Fingers

Noodles with Pork & Veggies

Super-Vegged Up Chili

Lasagne:

I also have a collection of Baby Foods and Weaning recipes for the real littlies, including these favourites:

Sweet Potato Daal for Babies & Toddlers:

A Trio of Dips for Babies & Toddlers

Go Bananas! A Trio of Banana Puree Recipes

Two Baby & Pasta Puree Recipes
